New use for DEI 529?

OK- here's an odd duck for you all. I'm wiring up a very
custom '59 Suburban for a customer. He's in a wheelchair, which has required some really creative thinking on everyones' part. One of the things he requires for ease of entry and exit is a motorized passenger seat- it drives completely under the dash for him, then can be returned to it's original position for seating. I'm trying for fully automatic operation- touch a button, and it goes, like an auto express window. The question: I have an extra DEI 529, and I was thinking- would this do the trick? For the 'ground when armed' inputs (orange, ORANGE / black) I could use a simple spdt switch. I'm also worried about capacity- I don't know if the module will carry that much current. I had thought about swapping the relays for standard Bosch ones, but would that cover it? Or, does someone out there have a better idea?

You could use some latching relays with a limit switch to deactivate them. So basically when you hit the button it will move back and once it goes all of the way back it would hit another switch and stop the seat. Hit another button and it would do the opposite, go all of the way forward and stop when it gets far enough forward. I don't know about using a window module for moving a seat back and forth, it may work or it may not.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

That may be what I wind up doing, Auex. For this car, reliability and a measure of redundancy are very important. On a smaller, 'lighter' circuit, the 529 would probably do the job. The real problem would be the surge factor, getting the motor started in one direction or the other- it would probably shut the motor off before it even got going. Oh well- I just wanted to bounce that idea, see where it went. Anyone else want to take a crack at this?
