anyone work with these before??
i want to do a little custom motroization in my system and woul love any tips you guys have?
one questio in that how do you control it going out and coming back in?are there wires for each? exactly how does that work?
know any places to get them for good prices?
and what lengths do i need i want to extend a amp rack draw so what do u recomnend

Some systems use limit switches to stop the actuation. The solenoid works off two limit switches mounted at the beginning of the solenoid throw and one at the end of the solenoid throw. You can also try www.hottronics.com.They have some actuators, but they are a bit pricy.

Naw- the best I could tell you is they wire up like any other reversible motor, but you probably already knew that. I do know that when I worked at Classic Limousine, we used them to actuate the height corrector on the Cadillac hearses we built- it allowed the driver to adjust the suspension height as necessary. The 59 "Cadillac" Suburban I'm working on now uses a large one (10" I think) to open and close the hood.

worm driven actuators are good for amp racks, in my opinion. Because you dont need as much space to mount the thing.
