I am sure you have heard of our woes here with Hurricanes the past few years.  This Year we are doing much better.  I know it isn't the 30th of August yet, Katrina 05 and then Gustav 08.  But since we are doing so much better this year, our goal is No landfall of even a tropical depression.  (We already had one)  However to make this happen we have chosen to send you one that you can call your own.  His name is Bill, he is scheduled to arrive Wednesday morning.  We just wanted you to be on the lookout for him and give him a Good Ole U.K. welcome.  He may be a little upset with us for refusing him access to our land, so try and calm him down a bit.

Actually our health system works.......If you get on well with your Doc who will then fast track you into good hospitals (I'm lucky there too) for the right specialist departments.  Meanwhile were still trying to build Trident submarines and Nimitz class aircraft carriers, what are our targets?  And our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have to scrounge equipment off the US and Israelis

Bill will hit us as a Gale not a Hurricane with 30 mile an hour winds, what an anti-climax. There you knew I was going to pun that one.

Sorry to do that to you, but 30 mile an hour winds are a lot better than what he had planned for us..

Well it arrived, gusty winds and a few medium showers and yes I was outside changeing the roof aerial on a Fiat Ducatto Van (Think Sprinter but not nearly as well made).

Well Bill called today and let us know that you gave him a good ole U.K. welcoming just as I asked you to.  He said that he had a good friend named Danny and Danny asked if you were going to be just as hospitable if he went your way.  I took it upon myself to let him know that you would.  So be on the lookout for him.  They have not predicted that he will make it to you, but he is on the same path that Bill took.

General rule Mr. I, after they decimate the Windies, they split to either side of Fla. (And yes I once lived in Ft Lauderdale and W Palm so I'm good at this), then those like your good self in the Gulf get dumped on OR they swing North, decimate the Eastern Seaboard, and give N. York a good soaking, then swing over to us, picking up yet more moisture over the North Atlantic and yes I've been caught in the middle TWICE so I'm also a some time expert on throwing up where in the summer WE get dumped upon, or in the late season, end October we do get hurricanes with real 100mph winds. After October we get a high pressure zone from the Arctic then we don't worry about what you're sending to us we're more worried about Jack Frostski from Siberia.
