How much do salesmen of car electronics make in different parts of the country?

When I worked doing sales in Virginia (near D.C.) in 1991, I made about $4.50/hour, plus any commissions and spiffs that were going on that particular day. It didn't amount to much really, but the dealer accomodation programs from companies like Orion, Alpine, and Stillwater Designs were pretty sweet.
