LOL, That's pretty funny. Never seen that before. Is that even legal without consent from ADS ?

I don't think so but who am I to judge this...

I don't know how legal it is but it certainly lacks of morale.

Regards!

Jeff, let's face it, they get their initial info from Mitchells anyway.
I had the (UK) tech people ask me to contact another alarm manufacturer to find out why the other product worked on a certain French make whereas theirs had to go back to the car dealer for reprogramming.

Ridiculous. If your as big a company as DEI is, why would you produce a product that tells you to go to another manufacturer's site ? IMO your shooting yourself in the foot.

doesn't surprise me if I had a dollar for every remote, brain or really anything going wrong with the new DEI products since they swapped to the responder LE and LC3 remotes...  I love DEI products but it's come down to the point where I dread finishing a remote start because i'd say 1/10 brains are dead out of the box...

I've even had internal immobiliser relay failures on Clifford G5 products for the UK market (same basis as the AG5.1) never happened before.

hell just yesterday had a viper 5701 come back in that was done by my supervisor who has 11 years experience and is MECP Master (i only say this so that some DEI tool fanboy doesn't say it must have been install).

Issue, 2 way remote not sending command or confirming, 1 way working as supposed to.

First attempt was to try and reprogram the remote.. no dice,  second attempt was to swap remotes... no good,

Put in a new antenna (just plugged in to see) still nothing...

Swapped another brain in and programmed and I'll be damn still nothing...  So I decided after checking everything to attempt a second new brain.. and tada freakin works.

Two bum brains out of the box refreaking diculous..

They never released the 59xx series here, they claimed it was a problem with the 900mhz frequency, that's a load of rubbish, we have cordless phones, industrial remotes etc. all operating thereabouts, it was the QUALITY problems, they were too scared of comebacks.

Yea dude we deal with it all the time.. but I mean what am I to do tell people I can't install their remote start because the most recognized company in convenience/security is epic failing??  escpecially when it's one of the most profitable jobs we do..

Yes i have to agree here. Although i love dei, their products are failing miserably now and often as well, i had such hopes for their new responder generation, but they dashed all, sad to say but it's true.

Great!  I just joined and was starting to look for a nice remote start / alarm. . . . . .

How long has this been going on?  Should I buy an older, used one?

Thanks for any advice you can give me!

That last post; used alarm? Are you for real?
If you want a serious reply please post a request for advice in the Car Security and Convenience section.
