Here is my second experience with ..., the first was an equally negative experience:

On 04/19 I ordered a Factory Refurbished Viper alarm from the closeout section on Sonic, was very excited to get such a killer deal.

On 04/21 I recieved an email stating my alarm was no longer available with absolutely  no explanation, I was asked to call sonic and I forwarded them the following message:

From me:

"I don't want to do business by phone, I prefer doing it through email.
What item is not available? Everything I ordered was IN STOCK. I really
hope you are not going to tell me the alarm I bought is now unavailable
for some reason, because I have the dashboard taken apart on my truck
waiting for it to show up."

Response from sonic:

"The alarm is not available any longer"

Follow up from me:

"Can you just cancel that entire order then please, I have no use for alarm accessories without an alarm. I dont mean to be an ass but this is so frustrating, I just want to have a positive experience with Sonic .like your other customers talk about, that is possible right? . As a single father of a disabled teenager I dont have alot of "extra money" to spend on myself, so when that Reconditioned Viper alarm popped up I got excited and jumped on it, not sure why I didnt get it. I guess just cancel that order and credit my account, I'll have to wait till I can save up for one of the $150 range alarms, I like the Viper 350 it's just more than I can afford right now. Thanks for letting me know, I'm sure it's not your fault after all."

Follow up from sonic:

"Dear Jason,This message confirms that your 1116513 has been canceled."

End result:

No apology, no explanation, no offer of a different alarm.....nothing? Whats the deal Sonic? Is my money not green enough for you? Am I not entitled to a decent experience with your company? You would think in the day and age of internet, and with the economy the way it it customer service would be a priority. I mean, is it not the customers that keep your company operational?

Will I shop at Sonic .again? Gosh I want to, I just dont know!!!

Probably has something to do with the fact Viper recently cracked down on unauthorized sales of there products and even if Sonic did send it to you, you would never have a warranty on it.

This is what is wrong with buy stuff like that on the internet. They dont care if you are happy or not because there will be 10,000 more willing to get this amazing "deal". Sometimes it ends up costing you more buying a alarm or remote start on the web than buying it at a shop and having it installed. Jus ask the guy that brought his car to me after attemting to install a keyless entry and didnt understand relays and blew out the lock switch. I quoteed him 129 installed for the keyless, he bought it on the web for 40 tried to install it. Now a new switch will cost around 150-200 and a new keyless entry because the outputs do ot work now thats another 40. Thought he could save money and ended up costing him more than double. Before any of you get on the shop owners are trying to screw us out of money soapbox we are not. Some  will but I charge a fair price for my time and products I sell.  Remember the web CAN'T giv e the same customer service as a local shop and they NEVER will.
