MY 88JEEP CHEROKEE

my 88 jeep cherokee won't start.  it has 150k mileage, but ran great.  a couple times at the store i came back and it wouldn't start.  the alarm always worked, but when i turned the key, it buzzed a little but would not even click. (the starter).after a couple of times it would all of a sudden work and start the next 10 or whatever times.  then i t would repeat.  eventually it would not start at all, but the  battery seemed high.  the valet switch seems to shock you if you touch it, but i tried to bypass it, but can not.  it has been a couple of months and no luck. i need the car.  any ideas at all??????   I might pull the starter to test it, but i think it has to do with the statrter kill, if there even is one.Any ideas?????? Find the starter disable relay and remove it and then reconnect the starter wire that was cut. If the problem pursists, disconnet the alarm all together and see what happens. If the problem goes away, you know it had something to do with alarm but if it does not go away, you may want to check the stater wire that goes to the stater solenoid. Check for voltage going to the wire when it is not turning over and also check for continuity. If no continuity, then you have a break somewhere in the wire and you will need to run a new wire for the starter wire from the solenoid to the key cylinder. Use a systematic approach and you will find the problem.... just need some trial and error and time
