Printer Friendly Forum Posts - New Guy to the Site, Introduction

Good evening, cruising the site (have lurked and searched information since finding site about three or four years ago.) and decided to join, found the introduction post as most forums have (unless it's Penthouse...lol), so...here goes...Started playing with electronics when I was a kid with first car, and I say this laughing, it had a (compared to today's audio) SLAMIN' Kraco cassette deck and some speakers out of an old set of Pioneer house speakers...I know, go ahead and laugh without even getting into lack of power versus ohm ratings and lets not even think of what a sub or box was for another twenty five years...lol I went into the service (4 years as a Ranger, then 6 more as an SF "operator"..seeing the world (or at least every third world doodiehole having problems), and spending time reading about stereo equipment, etc...learning. Purchased a few mid level stereos, then in the late 80's decided to dive in headfirst, spending some real money and built a home stereo, that at the time was top shelf, state of the art...and for the day, would really pound. Fast forward twenty years, and the car stereo bug hit me...I owned by this point a very successful streetrod/race car/fabrication shop, was single, and had money to play with...last car was a 34 Roadster with an 8-71 blown 557ci Ford with every goodie imaginable, and a 6500 total watt, completely hidden, stereo to let thump at car shows, etc. as an advertising tool for the shop. Now, current time, have a catering company specializing in BBQ, grilled, and smoked meats etc., doing car shows and motorsports events and the like...but still playing with cars/trucks, electronics, etc....That's it, that's me, no better, no worse...If I can help, I will, and above all, don't know everything...but know where to get the answers.
