So I was doing a sub/amp today on a Chevy Cruze. Not the worlds hardest install mind you, but this thing was fighting me. Come to realize I'd skipped breakfast because I woke up late, and I'd skipped lunch to get this install done on time. I get the car back together and tune it, sounds great, customer is happy, we finish up the paperwork and I realize I'm absolutely starving. Probably the whole reason the install was giving me so much trouble was my blood sugar was out of whack from not eating. I concluded I need start keeping some sort of snacks in my toolbox, ideally something cheap non-perishable and vaguely nutritious.

Anyone else keep snacks in their toolbox? And if ya do, what kind?

Peanut butter is always good- healthy fats, protein, not too much sugar.

Ooh good idea! And it never goes bad, at least that's been my experience. Definitely going to add that to my list, thanks!

Homemade jerky, cashews, pistachios, and trail mix.

Y'know, I've been thinking of trying my hand at making some jerky, store bought is just a little pricey for the amount I'd like to keep on hand. Do you use a dehydrator or do you make it in the oven?

I use this Presto dehydrator. It's paid for itself many times over.
