Does the12volt.com use banner exchange programs or placement to increase revenue and site hits?

Just wanted to know if that was the case, if not that might be another avenue for some revenue for the site.

Hi Teken, no, the12volt.com does not use any banner exchange programs. While these programs could potentially drive more traffic to this site, additional traffic alone does not necessarily equal additional revenue and in the short term could cost me even more to maintain this site each month due to the increase in bandwidth usage. However, advertising space is available for a small monthly fee and currently this site receives on average over 300 visitors per hour or close to 8,000 visitors each day. This amount of traffic allows me to guarantee our advertisers a high number of impressions for each of the banners they pay to display on this site. When the time comes that this site can not provide enough advertising slots, I will likely pay for advertising on other sites and magazines to increase traffic instead of exchanging banners. Typically what I've found with sites that offer banner exchange programs is that they have a somewhat lop-sided ratio of impressions that favor their site, some as high as 10 to 1 and often only show your banner at the bottom of their pages or on their affiliates' pages. As far as ratings go, this site often shows up in the top ten or twenty results in the major search engines with most related words and phrases.
