Really off topic right here. Anyway, I have a keyboard with MIDI outputs on them. I also have Cool Edit Pro 2.0 I went to Radioshack and baught some midi cables but I don't have a port for the cable on my computer. So, the Radio shack guy said I would need some joystick port thing AND I'd have to buy the cable. Which is $40 dollars. Is their an easier way to get a quality stereo sound to my computer and record? He said the mic. output wouldn't work, but he didn't no that I had Cool Edit. I don't no if that makes a diff but whatever. Help with a cheaper solution?:b

btw.... the keyboard will not send high quality sound to the computer at all..... midi is data.... it is a transfer of signals..... you will need software to turn those signals into sound.... they keyboard will make sounds by it's self. but the midi will not transfer that sound to the computer..... i suggest REASON if your looking for a good sampler.... anyway.... have fun
