The previous owner of the car had an accident and the window was replaced. However, the yahoo that installed it did not fix the track/adjust the window so when it rolls up it leaves a gap that wind whistles. My question is how to adust it so that the window will roll up properly. Thanks
I am going to look up the inside mounting of the car via a book that shows all the moving parts to see if it can tell me how to adjust as well.

I had this problem after i got into an accident in my 00 civic. If the mirror was ripped off when in the accident i is possible that the track got smooshed together. " those darn non-folding mirrors" any who just take off the door panel, remove all the platic liner, with the window rolled about 3/4 of the way down you will be able to see two bolts that clamp the window in place. Remove bolts and take window out. After that you will be able to take off the track on the front side of the door that guides the window up. Its been a while so i am not quite sure what is invovled when taking that track off. There is a rubber strip that follows it up. You should be able to bend the track so that it is straight again and not pinched together.
BTW before you start all that take the Mirror off with the 3 10mm nuts and see if this is where your problem is coming from. Wouldn't want you to go through all that and not even solve your problem
I hope this helps. I know how annoying that whisteling noise is.
hey, on my gf's '97 civic, her driver's side window kept coming off track. it never gave her a problem until recently, and I had to put it back on track like 3 times. she even brought it somewhere, and they "fixed" it, to which it fell off like a week later. Finally, I emailed this site, and he wrote back saying there's a TSB for this problem from Honda. I know your civic was in an accident, but maybe that was enough to start this problem. Here's the link:

YES....thank you that is a great site, much better than the crappy manuel you can buy at Oriely's or wherever...thanks, I will order the parts and get it corrected.
So its the fault of the yahoos at Honda...
well now i feel better about this, they are going to hate me when I complain a lot to get THEM to fix it, for free.....

Yea, I ran a test run and complained to a different Honda dealer, and they said it wasn't covered and would cost $350+ to fix. It was a test run because I didn't call the place where we got it...but I doubt we'll have different results there.
