does anyone know where i can get custom cut plexiglass .. were doing a custom system and i need some slepcial pieces cut out. and i looked online and really cant find anything,can some one help

maybe home depot? i dunno..... that's part of the glory of Plexi...... it's a pain to cut and nobody wants to help you. But if you actually cut it, and get it over with it's a very nice touch.

i know homedepot sells plexi but i need some custom and intricate cuts and letters cut out.its going to be to much of a pain in the ass and might not come out right if i do it.
nooone knows anywere to go for custom plexi??

Commercial glass shop will do it for you but it will cost an arm and a leg to have it done.

well there not really hard intricate cuts but if they have acomputer doing it just cuttingo ut some letters shouldnt be to hard.what does it usually run??

i don't know about how things are in your area but in mines, my old high school actually had a computer that could cut out things like that in our metal and wood shops. just an idea though, so if a school around you has one you should ask the shop teacher to do it. if he will he probably won't charge you much. my old shop teacher does it all the time.

whatever u use, it'll have to be a heated blade. plex likes to shatter or crack. i'd, personally, trace out the pattern using a fine point black permanent marker, and going in with a dremel tool. paying someone to do something like that would just be a batty idea. ~~Dan

Use something like a rotozip. I just used mine the other day to cut out some lines in 1/4" plexi. The only thing I would suggest with this is to cut inside the line, then trim whats left with a utility knife, as the rotozip likes to try to run away  ------------- "just remember, in the end, everything you do is just everything you've done"
