My question is in regards 2 an alarm i put in my car recently. the alarm is a viper 300+, im trying 2 hook up the alarm like a family members mercedes fact. alarm .   I already have the dome light suppervision hooked up & the head light  suppervision my question is about how when u dissarm  the mercedes the dome & headlights turn on (at night ) and when u open the door the headlights turn off, this is what im trying 2 acheive. i cant figure out how 2 keep the relay from turning the headlights back on when i get in side the car i want them 2 stay off when the door is sensed 2 be open  so as 2 conserve battery power ......     also i want 2 know if theres a way i can get or make a sensor that senses light and dark  so the dome supp. & headlight supp. work only at night (like the benz)\

P.S. i know i dont own the benz i just really like the way the alarm works and want 2 customize my alarm further than it already is

let's see...a lot of relays would be necessary. You would need to have a photocell switch in there somewhere (Radio Shack.com should have), and you've already got a door trigger I assume.  To make the headlights constant, you'll need a momentary to constant switch (described in this site under Relays).  You'll need another momentary to constant switch from the door trigger to kill the lights, and a relay activated by the photocell switch to kill or supply the power.  You'll also need to diode isolate everything.  Honestly, if you've done several alarms and know the basics of relays and diodes, it's doable, but if this is your first install(guessing by your handle), it's more trouble than it's worth.

Thanks....i think

i purchased the photocell switch.  Yes i have a door switch & so far everything is isolated alreay (in regards to outputs from the HD supp. relay & the fact. wiring [6amp diodes] )

P.S.   This is not my first install , but it is my first big custom alarm
