I have been trying to figure out how to disable a vehicles governor for some time, and I am having trouble researching it.  I have been told that if I put a simple 12Volt switch on the positive wire that controls the governor I can simply turn it on and off.  Is this true, and if not, how do I do it if I can.  Second, I need the appropriate wiring diagrams for my test vehicle; a 1986 Ford Taurus.  Then if it works, I can apply that to my 2002 Ranger. Thank you for any help.
