ok so i have this problem, i took my car into Best buy to get my amp installed and now my hood won't open! My guess is the person doing the install must have not known how to pop my hood, and literally ripped the cord to release the hood. And to make matters worse, when i stepped outside this morning there was a giant puddle of coolant. i have tried everything to open this hood but it will not budge. I can't keep driving around with a little amount of coolant. does anybody know any alternatives to opening a hood once the cord is ripped?   any tips would be appreciated thanks.
o and by the way it's a 1992 Firebird.

Generally you can reach up under from the front of the car and trip the hard lock, then you just need to open it as normal.
