Hello Everyone,

I know this is a little off the beaten path, but does anyone out there know how to reduce power from 32 volts to 12 volts cheap?  My brother-in -law is handicapped and he has a Golf cart he uses to get around in rough terrain where its difficult to go in a wheelchair.  He asked me to help him install a car stereo in the cart .  The cart is 36 volts. Coming off one battery only gives me 8 volts and I'm afraid that the low voltage will damage the unit.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

8V??? That doesn't sound right. How many batteries are there?

Sorry, I was misinformed, the Golf cart is a 48 volt system. It has 6 - 8volt batteries.
