how can i find out how many watts A light is when it is lit EX. LED, 1157 car bulb.

that info should be etched into the base; should have something like 12V15W (12 volts 15 watts) on the base.

it not like a 1157 or 1156 bulb wich has it on the base, it more like a christmas light the small kind. can i use a volt meter or is there a calaction?
