hey, i am in FIRST robotics if you know what that is, my team is in the process of building our robot and im in charge of wirering the thing, when we go to compete we ussually have to pull out some of the electronics and mess with them so i figured to make things a little easier, make the entire robot controller and speed controllers, circuit breakers etc on the same board and all of the outputs to the motors go to a wire harness that we can easily unplugg when we need to...........buuuuuut the biggest problem is finding a wire harness that can have like 20 spots for 10 gauge wire..........does anyone know where i can get a wire harness this big if it even exists, and any number over like 5 per harness is usefull, as long as its for at least 10 gauge wire.....

20 position connector, ouch. I'm not sure. where I work we use harting connectors. check out their website www.harting.com. perhaps they have a solution or they could direct you.
What kind of current are you going to be drawing?
Look into a Socapex style multipin lighting connector. Up to 18 pins I believe, possibly more. Pretty compact, easy to cycle, and are locking.

Search using "all", and "Socapex" at the bottom of the page.
Or, if you are in a major urban area, and you have a large lighting production house in the area, it is a normal stock item.
They are generally used in theatrical and concert touring lighting..... very durable, tough, and the nicest thing is, they lock together with a simple twist ring. Price isn't really that bad considering what you are getting.
The other thing to look into are some of the military grade connectors from Amphenol.
Either way, a connector that will do what you need is going to set you back in the $100 range for a female and male pair. Not too bad for a clean, neat solution.
