Anyone know where I can get a 6volt deep cycle battery, if they are avalible.. Got my little girl a power wheels Barbi Fourwheeler for christmas and those little batteries just suck.. figured I coudl get a regular battery to stick in there.. which it was 12volt.. Just stick a lawn mower battery in it.. So a 6 volt deep cycle or a 6 volt regular battery.. I dont' know if they make a 6 volt deep.. never seen one..

Help Apperciated..

Hey George, Optima makes a 6 volt deep cycle battery. Eagle sells Optima batteries, but not sure if they stock a 6 volt. Will have to check tomorrow. If they don't have them, you can probably pick up a comparable battery at your local marine shop.

You might be able to find something by looking at farm/tractor/motorcyle/ATV batteries....maybe some of those are six-volt.

My niece has an old beat-up Power Wheels dump truck that a friend gave us.  I hooked up a 12-volt deep cycle battery right to the six-volt motor, and it went pretty well, and nothing broke even after a few days of use.  The heavy battery sitting in the dump bed sure did upset the balance of the thing, though.

Another thing to consider:  The batteries that come with the Power wheels are sealed.  If the truck were to tip over, a non-sealed battery could leak and cause skin or eye damage.  Maybe you could get one of those Delco batteries with no vent caps.
