It's 3a.m. in the morning and just thought of this for kicks. It would be sweet if we had the dream team. As some menbers are more knowledgable in a certain area, wouldn't it be nice to have the dream shop-"The 12volt Custom Shop" . A couple in car/home audio, car/home alarms, accessories, custom work, rims/tires, auto mechanics, and auto paint. Ofcourse this is just a thought for kicks and it is 3:20 a.m. in the morning. ------------- Sound Pressure

Possibly, but most likely the dealership would claim that you violated their licensing agreement and make you purchase a new registration key :)

Hey guys, Sorry about responding a little late but I just got my computer back from the hospital. You all are too funny about that Ctrl+Z. Relocation would have to start somewhere, somewhere everybody agree's to relocate at somepoint and start off with a few people that can. Somewhere where there is a need for a shop like mentioned above.Again this was the "Dream Team" but you have to agree it would be nice. ------------- Sound Pressure

We could even remove head units and other equipment with Ctrl+X :) In all seriousness, the topic is well named..."the 12volt Dream Team". Getting people from all over the States, Canada, and elsewhere to move to a single location would realistically be a nightmare ( no pun intended ), but if accomplished would without a doubt have potential.

Yes most definitely! I seen a shop here in Florida that does a couple of things all in one big shop but have not found what I mentioned as "The Dream Team/Shop" Hey you never know maybe sometime in the near future a few of us could end up in one location making it possible to start this. Never say never. It would be nice though. ------------- Sound Pressure

Lets do something instead of dreaming people! There is huge car dealer in a very busy part of Andover, Mn for sale. Anyway it goes most likely i'm going to buy it for a new venture, it would be just ammazing to assemble the greatest install team in history for it and blow all competion out of the water in Minnesota. I'm willing to find all finacing and help with any relocation. I have the abilty to get upwards of $5mil so if anyone is intrested post me back!

You do have the magic! The dealer would be a great place due to it having the lifts for one section of the team. The amount of space would be great! ------------- Sound Pressure

I hear you man. I was in Chicago in early Dec. and man was it cold. I was putting in a remote start on my sister's 2000 Sentra, my fingers were frozen, and the garage door was closed. Here in Florida as Snoman said is nice all year round. The remote starts here ofcourse would be more for the a/c. Best Buy down here is hardly ever busy. The only thing is that I'm cramped for space.

Must be nice to be able to install witht he garage door open all year round !! We have to contend with the same climate as the Minnesota folks. -35 today with the wind chill factor today. ** For those fortunate enough to NOT know what a wind chill factor is, it's the temperature of the air on your skin in relation to the speed of the wind. The higher the windchill the less time it take for open skin to freeze. Temperature today was (-11 F + windwchill factor of 20 mph = -35 F )** ------------- Jeff

Well at least us in minnesota dont have to deal with it being that cold. We just got the coldes air of the year, around 2F. Whats fun is when you have 3 feet of snow fall infront of your grage and you have a little car with no traction that need to get inside.

Here in Florida it can get toasty It can reach well up in the high 90's low 100's with the heat index. You need alot of those hurricane blowing fans to keep you going. It does sure beat the cold. ------------- Sound Pressure

My shop has an air conditioner.. during the summer, it stays on 70.. of course, opening the doors all day, it heats up.. sometimes getting around 87 or so.. but sure beats the 100 outside temps.. down here we have to deal with high humidity coming from the gulf winds.. in the late summer the temps are around 95 to 110 plus the heat index.. I lived in Mn for about 8 months in 84.. summers are awesoem up there.. liked the daylight hours until 9:30 pm or so.. good for golf after work..
