Few days ago my car cigarette lighter stop working. I check the fuse, was gone. Also there was not light in the car, my stereo was stolen 2 months ago. Anyhow I replaced the fuse but lighter still do not work. I took it off and check the spiral, was broken in one place. Today I was trying to put a tape deck in but Ignition power wire did not have a voltage? I check the diagram, and this wire was comming from the cigarette lighter. My lighter di not wirk and so the wire. What is the connection between these two things? Please reply

Depends on your car, and its wire diagram.

Some cars have the cig lighter after the ACC of the ignition, and will not work with out the key.

Others have the cig lighter hot all the time.

These may or may not be related issues.

Does the cig lighter work with the key at ACC?

Did you check the fuses under the hood at the power distrubution box?
