buy buy buy.

The governement has set a precedent in bailing out the finanical markets - they're almost obligated to bail all the other companies out as well (eventually).  The market will rebound, or ALL our money will become worthless, so it doesn't matter where you have it invested.  Might as well take the chance and put it in the market.

I haven't givin up.....yet! I put 200 clams a month in my Edward Jones Roth IRA.

Lets do some simple math, this year 200x10 (it's October) that's $2000.00 contributed, and my stocks are

worth 100.00 LESS than they were at this same time last year.  OUCH!

Thats a ton of car audio equipment.....posted_image

Yikes, sounds a lot like the trip Circuit City's stock has taken in  the last year.

From a little over $8.00  to $0.25 in 12 months.

Anyone looking for a bright, talented installer?

Those numbers only matter if you are trading stocks in the short term. My investments, even the higher risk one's, are all for the long term (30+ years down the road). The stock market will eventually recover if you stick with it. Of course as was said earlier, now is the time to buy.

One of mine that I am hoping will do really well in the next few years is a fuel cell company.

Analyse the situation,  the alarm market in Europe has drasticly shrunk in the last two years with factory alarms even appearing on light vans, over here Clifford had the name and market leadership, it almost vanished under DEI, the product is now more fragile and I feel less well made. The European organisation has more or less disappeared to be replaced by local ie non DEI owned distribution, effectively they became a monolith, almost a monopoly and ask the Soviet Union what happens to monoliths up against a competitive market.
