Ive read quite a few post regarding the push button start circuits and one post at the bottom of the page is pretty much what Im looking for but I decided to post because it got off topic and he had a few requirements I do not so here it goes. Im am looking for a relay arrangement using a momentary switch to go IGN OFF>press button>IGN ON>hold button>START ENGAGE and IGN STILL ON>release button>START OFF IGN STILL ON>press button>IGN OFF. More or less exactly how a normal ignition switch functions. Any security functions are of no concern to me because there are multiple ways to make sure that the car can not be turned on like using a simple car alarm starter kill wired into the +12v input to the relay arrangement. A company is selling a two relay arrangement but they want 130 dollars for a button and the relays. I cannot for the life of me figure out what relays they are using from the picture

look at the "Ignitor" and thats what I wanna build. I cant imagine the relay setup could cost more than 30 bucks. Hope you guys can help
I'm guessing the 2nd relay is just a latching relay. Once it latches, and the starter relay drops out, it most likely disconnects the starter relay from the button, so that the next time you push the button it doesn't start.
You won't find an "easy" and elegant relay solution for push button start systems. I built a push button start system from scratch and it's not an "easy" project if you want OEM like results. My project still isn't completly finished, but it is installed and working well. The starter relay is controlled by a custom programmed microprocessor.
