I picked up a set of twim beam off road lamps and want to wire them up to a DTDP illuminated switch (4 posts on back is that correct?), here's the catch. I want to have one pole running only one bulb from each lamp and the other running all four bulbs. I can wire them right now with each pole running two bulbs each. Anytime I try hooking them up to run all four both ploes run all four. Help!!
I followed the advice of a friend, the connections on the relays could be wrong.

This wiring may work for what you are wanting it to do. You can have the switch to an ignition instead of low beam if you wish. Normally any driving light should be disabled by putting on high beams.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
The switch is not DPDT that you have it is SPDT with Lights.

When in doubt, try it out !
I think this is what you were asking about. sorry I had to shrink the original to scale it down so the grounds from lights to switch got cut off.

Wired it all up and it works, but when the 4 bulbs are turned on one of the relays chatters then flips off......granted I have this hooked up to a 12V(or is it a 14.8V) wall converter. Should I be using larger relays?
it probably is the current isn't strong enough through the power supply. I think it should be fine when it is installed into the truck with the right 12v+ source and good ground.

Here is my take on it.
