just wondering if you guys had any particular sites that you preferred or would recommend.  i'm looking to get a latching relay, a couple SPDT probably and some 4PDT maybe..  these're all for my car so 12vDC.  any suggestions on where to get reasonably priced decent quality relays would be appreciated. (radioshack seems to be taking a little too much from me lately...) thanks!

I haven't been able to find any latching relays with the exception of DEI's 611T relay. There are a few diagrams floating around that use regular relays to work. You can make one relay latch, then unlatch it with a momentary push button. If you want to use one channel of an alarm with one pulse on and one pulse off, there is a diagram floating around that uses 4 or 5 regular relays to work. For the price and time involved in making that work you may as well just buy the 611T. I buy all of my SPDT relays through www.partsexpress.com. The cheap ones are $.99 each and the Bosch ones are $1.99 each.

Please post if you find any latching relays or the other relays you were talking about. Good luck!

I use MCM Electronics. Huge catalogue and good prices. The website is a little hard to navigate but you wouldn't believe the size of the print catalogue. The prices are the same as GMC's place, so it's your choice.
