I have a Pioneer in-dash dvd player that has to not "see" ground then "see" it in order to play movies. My question is if I have the relay set up correctly and also what size capacitor I would need to acheive a 5 and 10 second delay.
Thanks,
TJ

Bypassing the safeties isn't a subject that is typically discussed around here.

The DVD player is installed in a show vehicle, I'm bypassing the safety so I don't have to sit there and flip a switch everytime the vehicle is turned on.

I dont care about the safety part. My main concern is getting the right size capacitor to change the delay time.

So connect the parking brake wire directly to ground, everyone does that here anyway, with the owner's signed agreement.

I can't... the player has to not "see" ground then "see" it before it will play. Simply grounding the wire will not work.
