Subject: pulse horn, lights set up for bike

I have done a few searches but haven't found an answer..

I have installed a keyfob 12v activator on my bike and I want to add a horn beep and or signal light flash for confirmation of activation. I have an led light to show power on but would like the afore mentioned action as well. Just like a door lock/unlock setup on a car.

Is this set up with a relay or circuit board?

Does the keyfob 12V activator have any output wires?   Can we have a link to the instruction manual for the activator?

what is the model number for the unit you are using? That way we can help you with some searching, and get a half arsed answer or two.

What exactly does the Activator do?    Even if it has no provision for an output, I think that I can do it with 3 relays a couple of capacitors and a couple diodes.  If you are willing and able to do a little footwork, I think we can make it work.

all the unit does is turn on and off a 12v source.

I have it down to 2 relays, and one capacitor.

I will not be able to give you a multiple beep for either.  But we can make one of the pulses longer than the other.   Interested?

Ok,

here is what I came up with. The key fob will powerup the bike, lights and dash. The rocker switch brakes the starter solinoid coil lead. The ground for the starter solinoid is a case ground.

Please look at the diagram to see if I am going to burn down the bike with this setup.  ahahahahah.,...

I wish I could come up with something you could use.  If I figure something out, I will let you know. Off to perform the John Cena Trademark move.

Thanks for the effort. I have installed the above system. No one had replied so I went ahead and installed it. SEems to be working very well. I will continue to try and work out the chirp thing too as I think that would be cool on a bike.

This bike is done and on to the next one.  https://www..com/watch?v=RDZUgdCNC9c

Wow
Correct Youtube links do not work here.
Nice Canteen, you take her over any sweet jumps?

Thanks,

No jumps. I built that kat for another guy. There are a few more I built and my own kat on my website. www.robwilton.com

Now that I have found you dudes, I am very interested in doing something unique for my own ride. NOt sure what that may be yet but something. I thought a remote start would be cool but since these old dogs are manual choke and not fuel infected its a problem when its cold.

I have been playing around with the idea of using a reverse camera setup with dual screen monitor for my rear mirrors. One cam on each side connected to my signal switch so when I activate the signal the corresponding camera comes on and gives me the view a mirror would.

Also thinking of a motion sensor for blind spot detection. If there is a vehicle in my blind spot an led would light up, but, I am having trouble finding a sensor that has enough range (lets say 15 feet)

IF you check katman1260 on youtube, I have an rfid setup on a katana as well on my channel.

If you don't mind adding a circuit board it would be pretty easy to add a beep and light flash output.  I have a similar circuit already built (do a youtube search for Electronic Beep).

My current system triggers on seperate 12vdv pulses (lock and unlock pulses).  I could easily modify it to trigger the "unlock" on the presence of voltage and the "lock" on the absence of voltage.
