hello all. i have installed 4 relays in my truck. one is for my headrest screens, one is for my sat radio, and the other is to turn on my amps, and the fourth one is from the accessory wire off my head unit to turn on the other 3 relays. needless to say, there is a little wiring mess i am having to contend with. i labeled everything so its not too bad. now, my question. i know that i saw a site where you can get accessory  controller boards but now i cant find them. i would like one that is all in one unit (prefferably with a circuit board) so as to clean things up and have a better install. if anyone knows of anything out there that is electronically controlled, like with a microprocessor or something, that would be even better.

thanks

clarence

What exactly would this microprocessor be microprocessing?

You may be better off looking for a 4PST, a 4PDT, a 3PST, or a 3PDT relay.  It sounds like you only need one coil (since all coils are controlled by the same source - your turn on wire) and a NO set of contacts.

By eliminating the extra 3 coils you will eliminate 6 wires.  By going from DT to ST you'll eliminate another 4 wires.  You could then jumper all the common contacts together and have very little wiring in the end.

i'm just thinking out loud here, i think this is what kevin is try in to say to, won't one relay be capable of doing all the work that the four relays are currently doing, mr69 charged, the NO contacts of a relay are capable of up to 40 amps of current, this should more than be sufficient to supply the accessories you mentioned above, just be sure to have a proper fused power source!
