I want a light to switch on everytime i start the car and switch off 90 seconds after the car has started. I was going to use a turbo timer triggered by the vehicle's starter wire, but it's kinda costly just to turn on a light, so i was wondering if anyone could help me with accomplishing this in a more cost effective way. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Most cost effective way would be if you use a transistor circuit to drive a relay for your light, if you're willing to put it together.
There may be something drawn up previously on here that does that kind of function, it was probably asked before. I'll check and see if someone doesn't find it first.

What's the light for? How much current will it draw? Are you planning to switch the (-) or the (+) side of the light? ------------- Kevin Pierson

it's just a normal twelve volt led! it'll draw about one amp if so much, it doesn't matter which leg is being switched, whichever's easier. Thanks in advance Guys.

Are you sure it will draw 1A? If it is a normal LED it shouldn't draw over 100mA absolute max. Either way I could throw together a professional solution for you if you don't mind covering the actual shipping. ------------- Kevin Pierson

How much would it cost me?

USPS shipping shouldn't be much more then $10 I'm guessing. I've never shipped anything to T&T though!
