I have a fiat scudo 51 plate, 2 litre JTD engine. Engine turns over but wont start. Replaced duel relay. Duel relay I believe runs fuel pump, fuel pump on vehicle not running when switched on. Have checked fuel pump with external power supply, pump working ok. Anyone any ideas what could be wrong.

Sounds to me more like an immobiliser transponder failure.

When the duel relay failed the immobiliser light stayed on. when I replaced it, it went back to normal, i.e. flashing on centre of dashboard and going out when ignition switched on

Check the fuse...try with a SPST relay and see how it works.

Thanks to all who answered this.Car now working,Finally traced fault on wiring loom. Corroded wire from duel relay to ECU.
