I seen this car that had it so you had to turn the blinker onto the left position to start the car how can i achieve this? I already have an alarm in place

I just need it so when the left blinker on it completes the circuit but when its in the middle ( the off position) it breaks the circuit

Cut the left blinker wire, insert a 3amp diode, band away from stalk, at stalk side run a wire from there to relay 86,ground 85 cut starter lead,one end to 30, other end to 87. But surely your alarm already has an immobiliser as probably your car if it's a late model so what's the point?

The diode has a grey band painted on one end of it.

The way howard described will work yes! But, if he cuts the blinker directly he'll have to turn on the ignition and turn on the blinker, and, hold the crank position and hope the car starts within the pulse duration of the blinker, it would be alot wiser to connect at the stalk trigger where the signal is constant and not pulsed!

I could be wrong i dunno!

Of course knowing the vehicle in question and the year would help lots, the above is assuming the stalk controls aren't data! But are actually voltage triggered!

I may have said it wrong but I meant at the stalk ends!
I only replied to this post as an exercise in futility, I can't see the time of the flash as long enough enough for the starter to catch unless you use a cap and resistor to increase the relay output time to 3/4 of a sec, also it will flick the starter every time the indicator is used.
Far easier to mount a factory switch in a blank or a secret switch in the glovebox and run the starter through it!
I once had an old Mercedes where the spring action in the ignition switch that supplied the starter failed. I used a small push switch and a relay and it caught EVERY one out.
