Hello, I have looked all over for a socket that would handle the amp ratings of a standard 5 pin 50 amp relay. all the plugs out there use 14 or 16 gauge wire. I need something with 12 gauge. most sites say to use single spade connectors for anything over 30 amps. there must be a socket out there, the ideal socket for me would be a mountable socket that you could just plug the relay into. can anyone help or send me to a suppler ?

Thanks Ed

If this link does not work, https://www.amazon.com/12-VDC-5-PIN-RELAY-SOCKET/dp/B0002ZPUMG

Go to yahoo and search for  "5 pin tyco relay socket",  It will be the first result.  The one with the 5 stars on side of it.

I can assure you that the socket Mr I mentions if used with faston receptacles will handle 10 guage wire. Over here you buy the naked sockets with the receptacles.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Thanks to everyone for the reply's. I see where I can use bigger connectors so that will solve my problem. but I would still like to find a socket that bolts to a box and the relay is free to come out. all the sockets we have here the relay has to have the clip to mount it in a box and the socket is free.

Thanks Ed
