Hi everyone, I have a s10 truck .I removed the crank handle windows and installed power windows from the junk yard . so im wondering if anyone knows how to wire relays for these windows.

the window motors have 2 wires coming out. if you revers polarity the window goes down , reverse again and window goes up.

so im thinking 2 switches on driver side and 1 on the pass side. ill pick up whatever kind of switches needed/suggested. so any ideas??

oh if it matters it is a 2000 s10 ,,, also I dont want to use the factory s10 window switches because they are incorporated in the door panels. so I would need to get all new door panels to be able to use the factory s10 switches. so I would just want to use up/down rocker switches or something from the junkyard i can incorporate in my current doors. thanks again

Any 5 wire DPDT momentary centre off, e.g. from Spal, you shouldn't need relays

hi again all. well i picked up 3 sets of switches, 2 have 5 wire all same 16 gauge. the 3rd set has 6 wires 2 wires are 24 gauge 1 wire is 18 gauge 3 are 16 gauge. ( out of an acura suv..

so the two 5 wire switches both. have 2 wires that have no ohms then 2 wires that have no ohms and 1 wire that goes to 0 ohms when the switch is pushed to the down position.

i have tried several combinations of wiring and 20 or so fuses but i can only get the window to go down not up. im sure it is as easy as tying two wires together or grounding two wires but ? im again lost.

Oh why am I getting involved here. The 6 wire switch probably carries illumination but let's go to what you need on the 5 wires.
1 terminal will be common, call it terminal 87i.e. when switch is pushed 1 way it will switch continuity to 1 other terminal call it 30(1). When switched is pushed other way it will switch continuity to a third terminal, call it 30(2). This leaves 2 other terminals, call them 87a(1) and 87a(2). When the switch is at rest these are continuous with 30(1) and 30(2). When switch is pushed to 30(1) 87a(1) is disconnected but 87a(2) should still be continuous with 30(2).
Sup[ply 30amps per 2 windows to 87,
Ground to the 87a terminals,
Up motor wire to 30(1),
Down motor wire to 30(2).
Slave switch (passenger)
Motor wires (30(1) and 30(2) to 87a (1) and 87a(2), your fused lead to 30 and motor wires to 30(1) ans 30(2.

Your last post came through while I was doing mine but here goes:-
30(1) and 30(2) = 1 and 2
87a(1) and 87a(2) = 3 and 4
87 = 5.
