Hi to all

have used diagrams on this site before with a lot of success before but now need help

have small electric start generator that used a powered solinoid to shut fuel off and then flattened battery . Is there a relay set up that with 12v ign source isolates neg coil wire and when ign off earths out coil wire and stops engine

cheers

Your post is ambiguous.

Any changeover relay with 87a & 30 can be used to short points etc to GND when IGN +12V is off.
A normal on-off relay can be used with 87 & 30 to connect power or ground to an IgCoil. I'd suggest in the the IgCoil +12V supply rather than its GND (to the points).

Both relays need to be rated at several Amps. I'd suggest 15A or 30A relays.

As to cutting fuel, it is usually the "run" 12V signal that opens the fuel cut solenoids.
Things like fuel pumps are usually controlled by a running sensor - eg, a charge lamp circuit as used for the UIBI (battery isolator), but that requires a prime circuit for cranking/starting (the UIBI type circuit being used to ensure fuel pumps are shut off should an engine stall).

Sounds like the relay is in the wrong place or the wrong type.

See if the key switch has a wire that grounds out when it is in the off position. That is what most of the manufactures use instead of a relay. Just hook that ground wire to the kill.
