reverse polarity relay at mirrors

Hi Guys new here,

Okay I got 2 electric folding mirror's on my 94 Honda Civic.
But i don't have the factory switch/relay/harness etc to operate them.
The folding motors in the mirror's are 2 wire, +/- and are reverse polarity, Too fold or unfold depending witch wire see's ground and the other 12V.
Now I came up with the idea (thanks to this site) of using two 5 pin relay's wired together for a reverse polarity source. I'm using the 5 wire alternating system with the alarm's actuator wires as the Negitive switch source found in a diagram in the alarm/actuator's section of this site.

Today i did a quick mock up of the diagram and it worked just fine the mirror's folded when the door's where locked and unfolded when opened via the 2 actuator wires as the negitve switch source. Now the two actuator wire's rest on ground and only one wire will see 12V for about 3-4 seconds depending if the car is been locked or unlocked (reverse polarity built into the alarm unit to the actuator's)

My question is, Is this a safe good way to go about doing this? As both switch wire's you could say are both resting at ground so they will be both constantly open and only one will close for a few seconds depending if the car is locked or unlocked, And will it drain the battery over night?

This is my trick, note how it's wired. Use the DEI 528t x2* I've wired it as fold on arm, unfold on ignition but you could make that unfold on unlock; or wire both triggers to the ignition, then auto fold in on switching off, auto fold out on switching on, cut the blue loop of the 528t on fold out.BAZ_mirror_fold.bmp

* Don't use normal relays, you will have a flat battery every morning.
with the 528t you set the internal timing for fold/unfold + 1 sec., job done.

If you use the original method how are you going to control the time because if those relays are controlling a locking system as well you will burn out the lock actuators. Using the 528t's separately is far safer.

The 2 relays i have for the mirror's are not actually in any way controlling the locking system they are only wired into the alarms (-) lock/unlock output wires to the actuator's as a negative/positive switch source, On the alarm unit i have the option to switch between two time frames to the lock's one been 0.8 of a second and the other 3.2 second's,
the 3.2 second option closes one relay just long enough to fold or unfold the mirror's depending witch relay closes but as iv been worrying about the closed relay will open again when it returns to ground after 3.2 seconds... also both mirror motor wires are probably getting a 12V source or else ground im not sure.

Then it's OK to 5 wire as you originally posted, look at the relay section on this site, or this diagram:-5_wire_control.bmp
