Hi everyone,
I'm trying to fix up a pair of Power Mirrors for my 92 Toyota Corolla and the scenario is very similar to the below post https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=125057&DIR=N&fid=5
https://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/543/jdmae100wingmirror.jpg/ I am missing the factory relay/module box (as pictured) and attempts to locate a suitable unit has been futile. Like the original poster, I have gotten the DEI 611t Timed/Latched Relay in the hopes of getting it to work.
The switch (as pictured, lower right corner) that controls the mirror fold/retract is a 1 push button. ie If mirrors are folded, press to unfold If mirrors are unfolded, press to fold
However, after much hairpulling and blowing several fuses in the process, I think best to ask before I proceed any further. The best result I have managed so far is to have either mirrors fold from unfolded position, or mirrors unfold from folded position. In both cases, the second button press will not yield any response after the initial action
I know the motors are working (since they can fold/unfold) so its likely something else I am missing.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do next?
thanks in advance Daniel

Your switch isn't compatible. Use the vehicle's lock and unlock wires in the driver's kick panel to trigger fold and unfold, or this method:- 754_mirror_fold.bmp------------- Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.

Thanks Howie for the suggestion.
From the diagram, Two units of DEI 528t will be needed with each 528t handling the fold and unfold operation?
Negative pulse on locking or armed output, To ACC <--> (< color=#231f20 size=1 face=Myriad-Roman>< color=#231f20 size=1 face=Myriad-Roman>< color=#231f20 size=1 face=Myriad-Roman>< color=#231f20 size=1>BLACK W/STRIPE - TRIGGER INPUT, DEI Manual) To ACC <--> (< color=#231f20 size=1 face=Myriad-Roman>< color=#231f20 size=1 face=Myriad-Roman>< color=#231f20 size=1 face=Myriad-Roman>BLACK W/STRIPE - TRIGGER INPUT, DEI Manual)
528t fold, don't cut <--> blue loop on the 528t (DEI Manual) 528t open, cut <--> blue loop on the 528t (DEI Manual)
Rest of color code corresponding accordingly
Reference the 754_mirror_fold.bmp diagram, How could I adapt it to work with the 1 push button that I have? I am thinking both (BLACK W/STRIPE - TRIGGER INPUT) of the two 528t goes to the 1 push button?
thanks in advance for your help :)

Yes but I've revised the diagram to give you automatic fold on lock and unfold with ACC or IGN 2*. See diagram:- 915_mirror_fold.bmp
Now the switch isn't needed.
* Ign 2 goes hot on key in ignition and dumps during the crank start cycle.
Time the 528t's for fold/unfold + 1 second. ------------- Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.

528t wiring both, brown and red to 12V+ constant, fused at 10amps.
Yellow to each direction motor wire.
Orange and black to ground.
Fold, BLACK/ white to door lock trigger, test, it's at the driver kick panel and goes to ground on key lock or keyless entry.
Unfold, BLACK/ white to ACC or IGN. 2. Cut blue loop.

Power lock trigger should be blue/white in the driver kick-panel.

Unless that switch gives out a negative pulse in either direction forget it.
You could use 3 terminals with a ground feed from a SPAL window switch, or a momentary push SPCO switch to control the fold.
