Hi all,

I would like to control a solenoid from two locations on a truck. Ideally, I would like a single push button at each location with the ability to activate/deactivate the solenoid independent of the other switch. I also need the solenoid to be deactivated when the truck powers up.

I plan on two NO momentary push buttons wired in parallel to trigger a 611T. The output of the 611T would then control a 30A relay feeding power to the solenoid.

Will the 611T always power up as NO or NC as per the setting of switch 2?

Can the trigger input be connected directly to the momentary switches (+12V) and float when the switches are open or do I need to tie the trigger to ground when the push buttons are open?

I have a 611T on the bench but I'm not having much luck getting it to operate with just a switch on the trigger lead.

Thanks for your help

Some more testing revealed that

1) An ohmmeter isn't enough load on the output side for it to work.

2) The last state is retained through a power cycle.

Oh well.
