Have a 32 ford  w/ power windows.  Motors are two wire style polarity reversing style

Connected them using two relays according to relay diagram, # 49.

When I release the switch, I am getting some kind of backfeed or surge in my gauges.

Is these a diode /filter I should install to stop this ?

thanks

What do you mean by "according to relay diagram, # 49."?
I'm assuming the answer is 1N4004 diodes, aid across the coil, 85 and 86 with the bands towards the coil +.
