Hello, we have so many sub boxes now that our board has no more outputs. Does anyone know how I can do the following..
1)connect 4 speakers to the demo board
2)make it so when you press a momentary button for the selected box, that set of speakers will play & disconnect the others.
3)if possible, make an indicator (12v out) so when the button is pressed for that set, the button will light up

thanks in advance

Paul

Without knowing what type of switching system you have, I can't give you the best answer, but if you just need to switch additional sets of speakers, you could easily add a speaker selector to a given set of speaker outputs.

well, I am trying to avoid buying anything when we have relays galore. I know there has to be a way to do it with 12v & a bunch of relays, but I am drawing a blank for some reason I know using 2 relays to make a latch should be the 1st step but that's all as for the switcher, it would be a remote system away from the board this way, the only things going to the switcher will be the speaker wires & power & ground

With just relays and a momentary pulsed output to switch between them, you would need to create a latch for each set and break the latch for all other sets when you switch from one set to the other. Once you create that, it's just a matter of wiring in the relays to handle the speaker switching.

I'll try to draw something up for you soon, if you don't figure it out on your own before then.
