G'day All

The other day I went on the replace the poly switch in the sod though in the process I believe I did further damage to the other components. Any who I have removed all of the resin around the PCB and basically began to rebuild the board, now I am Stuck!! I have identified all but 1 of the components of the board being the two inputs, two outputs, the poly switch mentioned in Syx's thread, a 1 kilo ohm resister Brown, black, red, gold, bands, two 100uF capacitors in series and finally the problem component a 6 pin blue box.

I have pictures of the blue box and have been lead by identification on the PCB of it being some sort of relay "k" that is all I know, input voltage when the switch is depressed is 11-12 volt and output is directly to the motor which drives the mirrors to fold in and out.

I was hoping that some one could possibly identify the blue box including possible specs of the unit, I have also included an inside view of the blue box,
I am an Undergrad Civ engineer and have spoken to a few of my Elec Mates and failed to identify the component.

I appreciate any time taken to help Identify this component

Thank you And kind regards From Down Under
Chase

Or manufacturers replacement will cost you less.
K will probably be an Omron or Tycho mini PCB power relay from the pin outs. 5-10 amps switched at 12V+.
Have a look at either RS, Mouser or Farnell catalogues online and download the data files which show you the layout.

Or having a local Pocket Pick A Part type wrecker - or any wrecker - may be a cheaper & simpler option.

Actually I'd have called it a sodding rebuild.

Yeah!
It can be rebuilt, but I'd try the wreckers first. By the time you source new components (eg, caps), figure out if it's a DP or DT relay (thru PCB tracing) and solve problems with possible lifted track or breaks...

Yes, quite right , try desoldering the original, SPCO by the way, either Omron or Tycho or Pana.

I believe its a SPDT Relay and the current switches direction based on the location of the switch, which is to be expected. When the mirror is folded Blue is + at 1.2mA and 11.7V when the mirror is open pink becomes + at 2.3mA @ 11.7V.

Any suggestion which relay it is would be great though I have to figure out the specs of the motor driving the unit so correctly pick with relay it is.

Thanks heaps again appreciate your time,
I think im going to end up going to the wreckers problem is its 200Km away 2 hour drive to the nearest wreckers that has a Civic :(

1) You might be right. or 2 isolated singes, can't be a changeover not enough pins.
2) I've already given you the answer above, I'm not going to trawl through their data sheets for that layout.
