HI,

I have a problem with the door lock actuator i just bought, i have it all hooked up correctly with the 2 relays, wired from the acutator digram on this site. The actuator will only go into the unlock position and will not do anything else, it just freezes in the unlock postion......i am using a Impact Auto security alarm system...

can anyone help...im still new at this.....

Hey Bro, I just put an alarm into my mx6. i added all new actuators to each door with the relay. It's not your relay! It's the way you hooked it up to your alarm. I dont know much about with your brand of alarm but mine had 4 ways to wire the central locking to the alarm unit. Sounds like you have it to the negative trigger. This to happened to me. Look closely at the wiring diagrams and the chances are one wire is wrong. It's hard to say without the diagram but its easy.

hi,

thanks for the replys,

ive done all the wiring according to the diagrams..but my alarm has two negative "1green, 1 violet"..door lock wires.................and then it has a extra deal called a door lock plug that comes with the alarm, and has green, blue, and red for 12v. The only way i get a response is if i attact the blue wire from the door plug, but then it just extends the actuator and won't move at all, it just stays stuck............its getting to be quite annoying.............oh well.....if anyone could help that would be awesome...

Thanks In Advance

Which wires did you use for the actuator ? From what you have listed above, you should have used the GREEN & the BLUE wires for lock/unlock and the RED wire would be your polarity selector.

Try this:

  • Test the output of the BLUE & GREEN wire when you leave the RED wire not connected to anything.
  • Test the output of the BLUE & GREEN wire when you connect it to 12 volts +

Post your results.
