In the process of wiring up OEM factory fog lights on my 2008 Chevy Equinox whilst bypassing the BCM. I have just installed the factory fog light switch in the dash; and just as my gut told me it has a "pulsed" negative output on the wire. I assume the computer would then latch this wire and make it a constant negative output.

Is there a relay setup that can accomplish this task? I have found this setup but would require the use of two more relays, and has a 12V constant output instead of the negative.

After googling most of the day I found this setup, but I plan on using 12V ignition to feed the coil. Question is how would I "kill" the latched output without shutting off the ignition? Basically I would like the switch on the dash to be able to turn them on and off like if it were really installed from the factory.

Yeah I saw that shortly after I posted, but I'm thinking small overkill (5 relays) to accomplish a small simple task. What about using my second diagram with the diode but instead of 12v ignition, tie it off the lights (either headlight or parking light) that way I can rotate the headlight switch to "off" thus breaking the coil? Would that work?

And as far as the diode goes, just a simple 1 amp from RadioShack suffice?

Possibly worth while fumbling through the Omron catalogue, single coil LATCHED relays. If there's a 10 amp or higher version available that might do it, otherwise a standard automotive 40 amp on the output.
Most Omron product available through Mouser or Farnell in the US.

£6.00 UK, $9.00 US, 10 amp latch that will be OK for 2 X 55W fogs.
