guys; is it normal when a relay gets warm? just put a 30a-40a relay in my fuel pump line.while doing this i let the engine run for a while, and noticed it got warm.could the installation be wrong or the relay? should i upgrade the wiring to a 14 gauge?

Relays will get warm if they are used constantly. Being that it is your fuel pump you should probably upgrade the wires anyways.
