I have a 2005 Chrysler 300c and I'm installing a Pioneer Avic 7100 NEC and it requires a relay and diode, due to the fact that on the harness there is a +12v with 1amp for the accessory switch that has a -trigger. What I need is positive guidance on how to add the relay with the diode to the negative trigger for instance I'm not quite sure on what wire goes where on the relay.

Does your cigarette lighter go on and off with the key?

What kind of harness did you purchase that does not have a positive output for accessory?

Negative trigger wire to 85, constant power to 86 and 30. Red wire of the nav unit to 87.

No the cigarette lighter stays hot.
Yes your absolutely right the harness has a positive output, but the accessory switch in the car is a -trigger. Sorry for misinformation.

Do not tie a relay into the -accessory wire at the ignition switch.

Go to the trunk and look in the fusebox. There is 1 fuse that can be moved into another location. Move that fuse and the cigarette lighter will now be switched.
