Ok, I have instructions for my car reversed polarity door locks. But, the instructions say use a 20 amp fuse. The DEI 451M comes with a 15 amp. What should I do?

You didn't mention your vehicle, but I'm assuming your power locks are fused at 20 amps? It's likely they don't actually draw much more than 10 amps, so a 15 amp fuse is probably okay. The 451M has onboard relays that can handle 40 amps, but it's probably fused at 15 amps due to the smaller wire. I suggest trying the 15 amp fuse and seeing if that works.

Alright, someone cares. Cool, yeah I think you're right. But, the whole 20 amp thing has me a bit confused. See, I thought the same as you. But, I haven't checked the fuse that protects the parking lights. Reason being is the statement was pertaining to the module. And the thing is refered to as a DEI 451M module. So, I really am assuming thats what it means. In fact, it even says protect the violet/black wire of the module with a 20A fuse. I thought maybe its just a typo. However, I am going to take your advise, because it sounds reasonable. Just to let you know, I own a 93 Mercury Sable GS 3.8L. It has type C door locks with reversing polarity. I bought a ScyTek A20 car alarm. This car has 91,000 original miles and I have spent a good amount of money in repairs/maintenance. So, I decided to try to protect it while I sleep. Thank you, for spending your valued time to help a stranger.
