I realize I'm a complete noob on relays. I've searched and seemed to get more confused. noting the diagram below, i'm looking for a low voltage relay that accepts a primary and secondary input and only output 24v when 2 conditions apply.
1.) both Primary and Secondary must be energized
2.) After Both are energized the primary controls the reset of the switch.

The idea follows how mechanical relays work but most mechanical relays seems to be 48vac+ (instead of the 24VAC I need) not sure if there is a way just to switch the relay and pass through the input voltage. Open to education sources if I'm way off the mark.

If you can't find a 24vac relay that works the way you want you can use the 48vac relay, as a relay will turn on at well below half of its rated voltage. For example a 12vdc relay will turn on between 3-5volst and turn off around 2.5volts.

What do you mean by primary resets switch? Are you looking for a latching relay? If not and only need simple AND then a normal SPST relay should be fine. Wire primary input and HVAC C to coil, wire secondary input to relay common, then output is relay NO.
