Illuminated LED Rocker Switch with Negative Triggering Relay

Hello, building a race car and I do not think what I am trying to do is possible.

I have an electric cooling fan that is powered by a relay using a negative trigger. The trigger must be negative because the racing ECU that controls it can only switch to negative. This system right now works fine however I need to add in between the relay and the ECU on the negative trigger wire a simple rocker switch so I can manually trigger the fan. I have an illuminated LED doorman rocker switch that usually works by routing power to the switch, not negative. I can of course still get this solution to work but the LED will not light.

I understand this is because the LED is expecting this switch to operate off the positive side of the circuit but I need some sort of solution.

Goal: have a switch, when closed, trigger negative to activating the relay and illuminate so I know the fan is on. When the switch is open the ECU will control the negative triggering as usual. I would like to use the simplest possible solution and if possible not feed another power wire to the switch or add an additional relay. Not sure if this is possible.

Why not use a simple toggle/rocker switch and add an external LED? Use the switch to output your negative to the relay (and your LED). Connect the other leg of your LED to positive voltage. Be sure to add a series resistor if it's not built in (560 or 680 ohms should work).

You could also supply your switch with ignition power instead of constant power so if you forget and leave it on, it won't keep running from the switch (only the ECM).

Thank you so much,this does seem like the easiest solution. I was hoping to find / search for a rocker that has the LED built in, exactly as you mentioned just in the switch, figure it just needs one more pole for constant power to run the LED. I guess I was just trying not to run a another lead to the switch but it shouldn't be a big deal.
