please excuse my mock paint diagram.

my current set up:

red circle is a push button momentary switch, wired to constant 12v fused. it feeds a 3way on/off/on rocker switch. position 1 activates only the airhorn relay, airhorns sound only.
position 2 activates all 3 relays flashing the lightbar and honking both OEM & airhorns.

the problem I noticed is that when activating all 3 relays, the horns don't sound as loud as they do by themself, and the lightbar also looks a little dim compared to when just the switch input is activated for lightbar.

do I need an additional relay coming off position 2, feed it to 86 and the output of the 4th relay (30) then goes to 87a on first relay? or what needs to be changed/diagnosed?

You are really not using the existing relays properly. All power in position 2 is coming through the switch.
Disconnect all the green wire connections coming from the 3 way switch and all the wires going to relay 2 & 3.

Connect the "green" switch terminal to 86 on both relay 2 and 3.
Connect 85 on relay 2 and 3 to ground.

Connect a 1A diode (1N4001, 1N4002,...1N4007) between the switch "green" and 86 on relay 1 with the cathode (banded end) facing relay 1.

Now use the contacts on relay 2 and 3 to do whatever power switch you need.

if i'm reading your directions correctly, this is what I came up with. but you didn't mention anything regarding relay 1 (airhorns) if that wiring is fine. take a look at what i changed and let me know if this is what you meant or if i need to change something again.

eguru - I figured it out. I did exactly what you told me and it's definitely loud as crap now!

thank you
