I have two vehicles that I'm looking at working on. I would like to use the momentary switch on the first relay and the constant output on the second relay.

Looking at the diagrams and reading some instructions it seems to be confusing to me.

I want to use one relay on an older vehicle activated by the interior light, start the vehicle turn off the interior light and have the second relay still activated to provide constant power to the coil.

I am going to do the same thing on a newer vehicle to interrupt the fuel pump circuit. I'm going to use something else to activate the first relay on that one.

Is the latched output momentary to constant output positive input positive output relay wiring diagram the one I need?

On that first relay my pos wire from interior light would go to pin 85.

The second relay would use the ignition hot wire going to my coil in the two 30 pins. Relay 1 and 2?

Pins 87 from both relays with pin 85 from 2nd relay would finish the circuit going to my ign coil.

Pins 86 would be to ground/earth.

Once car is running, I can turn off my interior light trigger that goes to 1st relay pin 85 and 2nd relay should stay energized until the vehicle is shut off.

Is this correct?

Again one of these is going to be for a 70's model vehicle to the ignition coil, and the other is going to be to a newer vehicle splicing into the wiring going to the fuel pump relay.

One vehicle is a 1972 Chevrolet with HEI ignition, the other vehicle is a 2002 Chevrolet truck.
